FAQ

  • What Is Included With My Order
Your shed will have either 6 sections for a pent shed or 7 sections for an apex shed, there will be corner strips, window strips if applicable, fascias, felt and fixings. Some companies build the sheds in sections for ease of delivery but we believe that if your shed has joining strips this will weaken the structure of the building and can potentially leak where the joins are.
  • What Equipment Do I Need To Assemble A Shed
You will need a hand spirit level, hammer, Stanley knife, step ladder, drill and sealant if your shed has windows.
  • Is It Difficult To Build A Shed?
We would recommend that there are two people when building a shed, assembly is straight forward and a step by step guide is provided.
  • How Long Will It Take To Assemble A Shed
This will vary depending on the style and size of the building you have purchased but in general it will take 1 / 2 hours for 2 people to assemble.
  • Do I Need To Build A Base
It is essential that your shed has a firm and level base constructed from an appropriate and durable material. Without the correct base, buildings may be very difficult to assemble. In many cases, an incorrect base may lead to future deterioration of the product if assembly cannot be completed correctly as a result. Problems may include doors dropping out of square and becoming difficult to open and close, and/or water leakage. Assembling a shed on an incorrect base is also likely to invalidate any guarantee that your product may carry. The options would be a hard standing eg flagged area, concrete pad or a bolted timber frame to ensure that the area is level.
  • When Will My Shed Be Delivered?
Our sheds are normally delivered within 7-10 working days. Once your shed is ready to be delivered you will be notified. During busy periods and peak seasons these lead times may vary.
  • Does Someone Need To Be Present To Sign For The Product On Delivery?
Yes, to ensure the product arrives in good condition with no damages. The driver will need assistance to off load and place in the appropriate area for you. The panels are not heavy but can be awkward for one person to off load and deliver, therefore we do ask that there is someone at the delivery address to assist with the off loading of the shed.
  • Does My Shed Come With A Floor?
All our sheds come with a floor as standard.
  • Do I Need To Treat My Shed?
Tanalised timber is pressure treated so it is protected against rot. Timber is porous so It will always benefit the building to have an additional preservative on it to repel the water. Any additional treatment added will provide extra longevity of the shed.
  • What is Tanalised Timber?
Tanalised (pressure treated) timber has been impregnated with a preservative under high vacuum pressure, resulting in a deep penetration into the timber. This treatment process gives a much longer lasting protection against rot, fungal decay and insect attack than dipped or sprayed timber.
