It is recommended that you read these instructions to assist in the assembly of your shed.

As timber is a natural material and it will expand and shrink depending on the humidity levels surrounding the area. During hot weather shrinkage may occur and result in warping or splitting of the wood, although this will largely reverse once cooler and wetter weather returns. Please note that this will not have any detrimental effect on the structural quality of the shed.

Tools required for this project, spirit level, hammer, power screwdriver, silicone gun, hand saw, stanley knife, step ladder. Please note that the instructions are based on two people completing the work.

1. A flat level base must be prepared for your building which must be the same size as the shed or bigger, recommended materials would be flag stones or concrete

2. Check your base is level using a spirit level in several positions, once you are happy position the floor

3. You might wish to consider using bearers set equally on the prepared base, use the spirit level on each bearer at right angles to make sure they are all exactly the same height and they must run the opposite way to the floor of the shed

4. Position one side and the plain gable together on the edge of the floor, fasten together on the inside using the appropriate size screws (this will depend on the framework of your shed)

5. Position the remaining sides and repeat instruction number 4.

6. Once this is complete square the sides to the shed base, using at least 50mm screws and ensure that the screws are positioned so that they screw into the floor framing.

7. Place the first roof panel to rest on the plain gable and door gable and repeat with the other roof section. Level and screw the two ridge frames together from the inside, the frame will be closed up internally. Externally there will be a small ‘V’ which will be covered once the felt is in place.

8. Cut the felt to size leaving 50mm overhang off of the roof

9. Place a length of felt on the roof, sand to the top. Equal overhang length at each side and sufficient to cover the frame at the lower end of the roof panel, use the clout nails to fasten the top edge of the felt.

10. Fasten the lower edge of the felt using the clout nails and repeat on the other side of the roof.

11. With equal overlaps position and nail the third length of felt

12. Fold over the end of the roof and the use the fascia to cover, nail through the fascia into the framing

13. Fix the two diamond caps over the join of the fascias on each gable end

14. Position and nail the strips at each corner

15. If you have windows in your shed remove the protective film from the polycarbonate pane and place in position

16. Using small nails (25mm) fit the beading over the pane and repeat for each window

17. If you have more than one window you will have a centre strip, again using the small nails (25mm) secure the centre strip, make sure you do not hit the panes

18. Seal around the edges of your windows with a bead of silicone
